In the early 1980's, Tommy started his ham radio work in China

After a seven year effort, Tommy along with his long time friends Fred Hammond, VE3HC (SK) and
Martin Rosenthal, VE3MR were responsible for bringing China back on the air March 29, 1982 with BY1PK
