We are pleased to announce ACOM International as one of our Principal Sponsors for the FP/VE7SV DXpedition. The Team will be using ACOM 1000 HF Linear Amplifier, the world's best value in an amateur HF amplifier. The ACOM 1000 delivers a comfortable 1000 watts output on all amateur bands from 160 through 6 meters. Powered by a single 4CX800A (GU74B) Svetlana high performance ceramic-metal tetrode, this amplifier offers permanent monitoring and protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as of the exhaust temperature. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in OPERATE mode, thus saving manual operations and time -- a very important feature to both DX and contest. operators. Click the audio file icon and listen to Team Miquelon comment on the performance of the ACOM 1000 amplifier. The amplifiers performed flawlessly and generated numerous compliments from operators around world -- most saying, "you're sure loud". Through both our DXpedition contacts and the 48 grueling hours of the CQ WW (SSB) Contest, the ACOM 1000 amplifier never missed a beat. After making over 55,000 contacts in twelve days, we are convinced the amplifier is one fine piece of equipment. Thanks to ACOM International for your generous support of FP/VE7SV -- Team Miquelon. |
